Earlier this morning, Singapore's "national team" lost to Croatia in the final group stages of the European Championship 2008 qualification rounds. They were just given two precious hours and a favor from Israel (win over Russia) to make it through and yet, they screwed it up. Perhaps Scott Carson, who was in Paul Robinson's place can't save no spectacular balls. Letting in 2 goals in 13 minutes? Hell that's worse than Tampines Rovers. I suppose many people are in anguish and I can guarantee you the New Paper will be filled with thousands of pages regarding the "shocking" loss, more than the local league's updates and overall summary. Seriously, not many here will give a damn of why Mirko Grabovac was sacked from the club. Not many here will give a damn on the "conspiracy" that Home United has consistently been scoring last minute goals. Not many will give a damn that country-vs-club commitments is not a big issue over here. Oh well, that's life for you I suppose. I'll just have to hope that Tampines will win the domestic trophy this coming Sunday when they come across none other than....*sigh*, the Armed Forces. On a side note, many have already speculate Steve McClaren's head to be on the roll upon the exile of the Three Lions. With the not-too-long-ago departure of Jose Mourinho, many are opting the elegant and classy Portuguese to take the hot seat. That's the two opposite ends of McClaren and McLaren. On the tracks, the Mercedes Benz FO 108T has brought success after success to McLaren whereas on the sidelines of the pitch, injuries after injuries brought defeats after defeats to McClaren. Call it bad luck charm, he's just plain unlucky. I have my sympathies on the latter and I believe he should consider taking over Birmingham City. Cry out "England!" like how the people cry out "China!", cry out "McClaren Sucks!", part of the blame can be credited to the players too. Too much to elaborate on, I can't be bothered. To sum up the whole damn thing, Singapore's "national team" lost to Croatia, Singapore's local team lost a Croatian.

This is a free world, or is it? People have the freedom to speak up of whatever they want to. We have no right to judge people on their statuses, therefore limiting their access to the free will. Don't get me wrong it ain't no political matters, just generally. Whatever it is, be it music, righteousness, and etc, we all have a say when we feel it that way. It's like taking a hammer to the walls and knocking on it rapidly to cause a sunburst of holes shining on crazily. Philosophical as you can say, but I find it as a whole load of crap. Now it's time for projects and homework. Treasuring your last week of school before the holidays by rushing your assignments = typical Singaporean style.
What is your dream school? Is there any in Singapore? I have heard people always saying how they want to get into this or that school. But hell, I must admit, I don't really fancy my schools in my 10 over years tenure. I just love the people, that's all. If there's a school I must love, it'll probably in other countries. Hell, I might not even fancy that as well. This comes to a point which I'm thinking of, why do you even love a school? It's just a school for freaks' sake. Don't get me wrong, I ain't dissing any of you but yes, it's just a building! I must have done something right.

How long to sing this song? How long, how long.....
"Where The Streets Have No Name" is a song that inspires me to keep on going. It's beyond explanation, that's all I can say. If you were to ask me to elaborate on something, I would just ask you to listen and analyze yourself. In the end, it's a win-win situation where both of us will enjoy without the thousand words being blab out in a dusty effort.
There are 4 million people on this land and billions outside around the globe. Will you be able to find someone with identical character and physical attributes? I guess we never know unless we experience it. Perhaps, you'll be traumatized by reality. We are all different. We are all the same. Which one is more accurate? To me, it's a mixture of both. Personality clash, compatibility, all this wouldn't occur should we are all the same. We are shaped differently but sometimes, we walk the wrong way...
Reach out and touch the flames, where the streets have no name.

The sophomore album by Alter Bridge kicks ass. Entitled "Blackbird", this album holds a distinctive sound compared to their first album "One Day Remains". This may be due partially to the participant of Myles Kennedy, the band's vocalist, as he was not actively involved in the making of the first record. As far as the genre is concerned, it's like a mix of Hard Rock and Metal to me. You can hear the "mouthwatering" riffs from Mark Tremonti and for sure, that is harder than Creed. As for Myles Kennedy, not only did his vocals improve rapidly, his showmanship improved tremendously. I remembered when they first started, critics were comparing him and Scott Stapp intriguingly. But as time flies, the amount has decreased, at least a few. Tracks wise, "Ties That Bind" is a good song to kick start to. Cliche as you can say, the fast tempo and high vocal notes reached during the chorus will most likely bring you to life. "Rise Today" is the band's first single off this album and lyrics wise, it can be quite inspirational. Who knows but maybe this song is pinpointing to the current music scene where the trend of emo, powerpop and pop punk are on the verge of dominance. Well, maybe we never know. It might be due to the daily lives after all. Music wise, you can say it's the typical Mark Tremonti style. But hell yeah, after being inactive in the music industry for sometime (due to conflicts with record label and making of the album), it's great to listen to the maestro of guitars once again. For soft tracks, you can look deeply into "Watch Over You". I must say, it's a pretty good chilly song to indulge to, if you're having a hectic day. The lyrics talk sense, as it seems to be implying on someone to be self independence, perhaps. "White Knuckles" shows the Metal side of the band and it has influences of old school bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera in it. Oh wait, don't the three of them sound the same? Well, it's trash metal, so to speak. Back to the real deal, it's a song that keeps me ongoing for sure. Lastly, "Wayward One". I find the chorus part kind of similar to Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven", but with a heavier touch to it. Still, they make that song sound like their own. Overall, I find it indulging and it's an album that differentiates the band from the music these days. After hearing much to the typical rock-based music for sometime, it's good to rock out to something that I have been listening to since young. Ratings wise? You tell me.
